'X-Men: Apocalypse' Cast, Release Date & News Update: Producer Simon Kinberg Talks 'Apocalypse'; New 'X-Men' Movie Will Be Different From Past Movies?

The "X-men" comics has been one of the most well-loved Marvel Comics ever to be released and, when it was adapted into movies it was a sure thing that the movies will be a hit -- and that is true. There have been numerous "X-men" movies in the past and all had riveting stories to tell, X-men mutant "Wolverine" even had his very own spin-off movies.

Now, with the upcoming "X-men: Apocalypse" movie, the latest installment of the "X-men" movie franchise is creating quite a stir with the omnipotent presence of a very strong villain, "En Sabah Nur" also known as "Apocalypse". According to the writer and producer of "X-Men: Apocalypse" Simon Kinberg, the movie will be entirely different than the other "X-men" movies.

"This one does some things that the franchise hasn't really done on film," Kinberg said. "You have a character called Apocalypse, who wants to do a different kind of damage than 'X-Men' movie ever has. It's the first time we've had a villain in an 'X-Men' movie who could compete in terms of physical power and presence with Magneto. It's an interesting dynamic to create."

"En Sabah Nur" played by Star Wars' Oscar Isaac is depicted in the "X-men: Apocalypse" as a very strong antagonist, even stronger than Magneto (Michael Fassbender) himself and is said to be the very first mutant ever in history. He also takes Magnet under his wing together with three other mutants.

Numerous "X-men" characters will also be present in the new movie, such as Professor X (James McAvoy), Mystique (Jennifer Lawrence), Quicksilver (Evan Peters) and The Beast (Nicholas Hoult). Meanwhile, "Game of Thrones" actress Sophia Turner will also join the cast as a young Jean Grey and many more. Also in the trailer, it seems that Mystique has join forces with Professor X against "En Sabah Nur".

"X-men: Apocalypse" will hit the theaters this coming May 27, 2016.
