Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield Still Together? Break-Up Was a Publicity Stunt to Promote New Movie

Late last year, the Hollywood power couple of Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield split amidst speculation of the latter's unfaithfulness. Although many sources say that the split was "for good," there are other sources that report that their break-up was only a publicity stunt to promote Stone's new movie.

La La Land is an upcoming musical comedy-drama film set to be released on July 15. Emma Stone's leading man is not her former beau, but rather "The Notebook" and "Drive" star Ryan Gosling. The two have already worked together in two previous films "Gangster Squad" and "Crazy, Stupid Love." In both films, the pair has portrayed lovers.

It would make sense that Stone would break-up with the Spiderman star to promote her movie romance with Gosling. Some even say that Stone and Garfield added fuel to the fire that was their break-up. They did so to divert media attention from their relationship to "La La Land," says the Master Herald.

Eva Mendes "has reportedly lost all trust in Gosling, who is sharing the big screen with Stone, who will be playing on-screen lover," says a report from HNGN. Although rumors of a romance between Stone and Gosling gained traction during the course of filming "La La Land," Gosling seems to have remained faithful to his long-time partner Mendes.

Garfield and Stone have not been seen with each other for a while because Garfield has been overseas, busy filming for another one of his upcoming movies "Hacksaw Ridge." However, reports say that the two of them are still in a relationship and are "very much together."

It is expected that there will be more rumors regarding the couple and their split until Garfield returns from filming, says Movie News Guide. He is expected to return within the next month. It is also worth noting that Stone and Garfield have previously broken up and got back together.
