‘Iron Man 4’ Release Date, Rumors, News and Updates: Marvel Studios Is Still Uncertain With Its Production, There Might Be A New Iron Man [VIDEO]

The decisions of making the franchise of Iron Man 4 are still uncertain because of Robert Downey Jr. Reports claimed that the delay of the production may have to do something with DC Entertainment's upcoming films as well as Downey's pay and age.

According to Movie News Guide, they are still looking for good tactical decisions on whether the production should push through or not. This year maybe the reign of DC Entertainment as they are now promoting their upcoming major films "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" and "Suicide Squad." With several superhero genre films that were released over the years, it may not give the expected amount of profit as what they had in the previous years.

Meanwhile, reports claimed that Downey might be one of the highest paid actors now with an asking price of $100 million for "Iron Man 4". Downey has appeared in three Iron Man movies as the lead star and in the first two Avenger films.

Downey will also appear in the upcoming film "Captain America: Civil War" which is one of the major releases of Marvel Studios this year. He is now reportedly being paid $40 million for the third installment of the Captain America trilogy.

Moreover, there have been some speculations in replacing Downey because of his age. Reports say that the actor is now turning 50 and may not be suitable for a superhero physique.

There are also some rumors that Downey might be a little tired of his role and might retire anytime soon. Before the Avenger films end, he will have to play the role of billionaire Tony Stark for at least eight separate films. Sources say that the "Avengers: Infinity War Part 2" might be his last Marvel film that would be likely released in 2019.
