'Half-Life 3' Release Date And Update: Video Game Might Come To Steam Database? Still Unconfirmed Release Date

The highly-anticipated third installment of the "Half-life" video game, "Half-life 3," might be coming to the Steam database after Valve allowed a "fan-made" series inspired game "Prospekt" go live on Steam. There are also rumors spreading around the gaming world that Valve is thinking of making "Half-life 3" a VR supported video game.

In the list of Webhallen, a Danish retail website, as one of the games for pre-order this year. Although there have been numerous rumors of "Half-life 3" release date being push back due to the dropping out of Marc Laidlaw. Laidlaw works for Valve and has been involved in the creation of the "Half-life" series so when news broke out that he was no longer an employee of Valve people thought that "Half-life 3" was not coming at all.

The reason for his going away is the fact the Laidlaw believes he is too old for the gaming industry. "An outwardly obvious reason is that I'm old, or anyway oldish. My nickname when I first started at Valve in 1997 was 'old man Laidlaw'. The little baby level designer who gave me that that nickname is now older than I was then," the "Half-life" co-creator said. "I had a good run but lately I have been feeling a need for a break from the collaborative chaos of game production, and a return to more self-directed writing projects."

However, it seems like "Half-life 3" is pushing forwards with or without Laidlaw and SteamDB has got a list of game that might come to the Steam engine. Those games are the PS4 hit "Everybody's Gone to Rapture," "Final Fantasy X/X-2," and "Half-life 3."

So, it seems like Valve isn't letting Laidlaw's disappearance stop them from making "Half-life 3" and pretty soon there will be updates about the newest game.
