'Final Fantasy XV' Release Date, News & Update: New Screens Released [VIDEO]

There is finally some good news for the fans of the game series "Final Fantasy". Square Enix announced that on January 30 they will release the next Active Time Report livestream.

According to Game Spot, marketing director Akio Ofuji and game director Hajime Tabata will appear during the event that will showcase the latest scenes of magic and battle footage.

"Final Fantasy XV" is been a long time in development for Play Station 4 and Xbox One. Before to be renamed "Final Fantasy XV", the game was originally announced as Final Fantasy Versus XIII. At the same time, it shifted to current platforms from the last-generation consoles.

Info World previously reported that in March the game developer is expected to finally announce the release date of the role-playing game "Final Fantasy XV". The Active Time Report will probably "provide updates" on the event in March as well. The game will come on the market sometime in 2016.

The Active Time Report broadcast scheduled for January 30 will be streamed live through Square Enix's YouTube page. As a teaser for the show, the game developer released four new screens showcasing the main character Noctis making use of stealth and performing a fire spell. Among the scenes that fans could see on the new released screens are also images showing a battle against a giant mech, some aerial combat, a robot in the background and soldiers patrolling the area.

Meanwhile, the website Crossmap reported that Square Enix has decided to make the "Final Fantasy 7 Remake" game episodic because the company did not want to condense any of the content. Another explanation is that the video games developer wants to sell the episodes even before the game was finished.

This way, Square Enix can make more money from players paying now for episodes and later on for the final game. This decision is a bit disappointing for the fans of the "Final Fantasy" game franchise.
