‘Sony Xperia Z6’ News, Announcements, Features, Specs and Updates: The Z6 Will Be One Of The Newest Curved Edge Smartphones this 2016 [VIDEO]

Sony users are now excited about the release date of Sony Xperia Z6. Reports have been circulating the internet that the upcoming smartphone will be the next curved edge phone.

The previous Xperia phones were known to have a box type design – a distinctive Sony trademark, according to The Bit Bag. Sources have said that the makers of the upcoming smartphone are now planning to achieve a sleeker design by adding curve with a metallic finish.

Consumers can also expect a larger screen in Z6 as the makers of the phone is creating a 5.2 inch with a possible 4k resolution screen. Other smartphone enthusiasts have said that the Quad-HD display would be more realistic than the 4k screen resolution.

The Z6 could also have its version of iPhone’s 3D touch due to the rising demand of pressure sensitive display this year. This feature will make a great addition to the gestures of the phone’s interface.

One of the reasons why consumers are excited for the release of Z6 is because of the new Snapdragon 820 chip from Qualcomm. According to experts, this feature will allow a big boost in the smartphone’s performance. Sources have also said that a software front of Android 6.0 Marshmallow is highly possible for the Z6, which will soon be upgraded to Android N in 2017.

Meanwhile, Rikke Gertsen Constein, Art Director of Sony, hinted that the anticipated release of Sony Xperia Z6 might happen in the second half of this year as reported by Tech Advisor. "We always work very hands-on with the future," Constein said. "We are already working on 2016 second half, 17 and 18."

While there is no official statement yet about its official release, Sony will have a scheduled press conference at the Mobile World Congress this Feb. 22, 2016. Reports claimed that the press conference will reveal some of the plans and added features of the Sony Xperia Z6.
