Dying Toddler with Lukemia is Best Man and Parents Wedding, Parent's Call it a 'Celebration of Son's Life'

A Pennsylvania couple had a bittersweet wedding this week as their two-year old son, who has leukemia, held the honorary role of best man.

Christine Swidorsky and Sean Stevenson welcomed their son two years ago, making it the best day of their lives, until he was diagnosed with leukemia shortly thereafter. However, the couple had originally planned to wed next year, but moved it up to this weekend so they could share the moment with their precious son, Logan.

He was born with a rare blood disorder called Fanconi's anemia, which keeps cells from repairing damaged DNA and can lead to certain cancers.

"This is our dream come true. All our family together and we're all together celebrating, the celebration of my son's life and the celebration of our marriage," Swidorsky told NBC affiliate WPXI Saturday.

The Stevensons' backyard in Jeanette, Pa. turned into the site for their dream wedding. Christine carried the two-year-old best man down the aisle as family members joyfully looked on. The best man wore a tan pinstriped suit and was with his parents while they said their vows.

Christine's 13-year-old daughter from a previous relationship, Isabella Johns, was a bridesmaid, and the couple's 1-year-old daughter, Savannah, was the flower girl.

Their wedding celebration consisted of dozens of donations from family, strangers and businesses. The parents said their grateful for all the support, both for their son and for their wedding.
