Healthy Eating Tip: Perfect Grab-And-Go Breakfast For Your Kids

Parents would always say "Eat your breakfast. It's the most important meal of the day!" Well, that's the truth. Breakfast is like a fuel that can keep you going for the whole day.  Moms must prepare a healthy breakfast meal that children would surely love to eat.

Lifetime Asia shares the following five healthy breakfast meals that are nutritious and delicious for your children:

1.       Eggs

Moms never miss out eggs on the dining table during breakfast. This is because eggs have lots of health benefits. They are also rich in protein. You can prepare them in various ways like boiled, scrambled, poached or fried. You may also mix the scrambled eggs with vegetables.

2.       Cereals or Muesli

There is cereal or muesli that you can buy in a grocery store. However, this is packed with much sugar that is not really healthy for your kids. It is advisable that you make your own cereals. You can mix oats, nuts, quinoa flakes, coconut, and honey and topped them with yogurt.  It's a healthy breakfast meal that really tastes great.

3.       Pancakes and Waffles

Children definitely love pancakes and waffles. To make these breakfast treats healthier, you can add fruits such as berries, bananas, apples with light milk and coconut oil.

Cooking Light shares banana cinnamon waffles that your kids would surely enjoy. Just topped the waffles with sliced bananas, cinnamon sugar and drizzle them with maple syrup.

4.       Fruit Salad

Prepare fruits such as strawberries, bananas or oranges and topped them all with yogurt. You can also add these to your muesli. Your kids will love these and will make them glow the whole day.

5.       Muffins or Loaves

Another treat that children love to eat is a muffin. You can bake your own muffins that are mixed with fruits such as peaches, mango, berries, oranges and bananas. Carrot and blueberry muffins are among the favorites of most children and are considered the healthy ones, too.

Cooking Light shares another recipe which is the Oat Muffin. The muffin is mixed with steel-cut oats and raspberry preserves. A healthy muffin that is perfect for your kids.

With all these, you can still add more variety and flavor into every breakfast meal by making your creative juices flow each day in preparing your kid's favorites and healthy options.
