Lose Some Pounds By Eating A Handful Of Grapes A Day; It Can Also Boost Your Sex Life

Recent studies have shown that eating a handful of grapes a day will help lose weight. The study also claimed that eating grapes and berries can actually boost your sex life.

Grapes have natural compounds called Flavanoids, according to Daily Mail. These natural compounds can actually reduce blood pressure and cholesterol. It will also reduce the risk of heart failures and cancer.

Flavanoids are known to be found in berries such as grapes, blueberries, strawberries, and cherries. It can also be found in blackberries, radishes and blackcurrants. This group is called the anthocyanins.

Helen Bond, a dietitian and spokesperson for the British Dietetic Association said that Flavanoids can also boost sex lives. "We've known for a long time that a diet rich in fruit and vegetables has many health benefits," Bond said. "Emerging evidence is suggesting that flavonoids may be responsible."

Researchers from Harvard School of Public Health and the University of East Anglia have observed 124,000 people in 24 years across the United States. These people were divided into a group of three with ages that range from 36 up to 48.

Sources said that the researchers have found out that men usually gain 2.2lb in four years while woman gain 4.8lb. The reports said that those people who consumed generous amount of flavonoid-rich foods were able to maintain their healthy weight and lost a good amount of weight.

A professor of nutrition at the University of East Anglia's Norwich Medical School named Aedin Cassidy claimed that middle-aged people have a higher percent of chances of gaining weight and most likely will have an erectile dysfunction. She said that by consuming flavonoids rich foods, this can help maintain weight and will lower the risk of having an erectile dysfunction. "There have been studies where mice were fed a high-fat diet then fed flavonoids on top of that, and it seemed to prevent the increase in body weight that you'd expect," Professor Cassidy said.
