According to the Daily Mail, 200 men in the United Kingdom participated in the development of the new dysfunction gel. The newest innovative product contains nitroglycerin -- the same explosive element found in dynamites.

According to the experts involved in the development, the particular substance quickly passes through the human skin. And if the nitroglycerin penetrates the skin, it releases nitric oxide, which helps during the arousal, making way for the explosive action.

During the trial, participants (with a history of erectile problems) were instructed to put a pea-sized amount of gel on their penis before sex. And as part of the study, the men and their partners agreed to have an intercourse once a week for a month.

Throughout the course of the research, researchers will regularly interview the group to see the reaction of the gel and its effectiveness. The experts will also compare the data to the other group, who were using a placebo. The research is expected to be finished after five months.

Dr. David Ralph, consultant urologist at The London Clinic, said that the gel might be the solution to the men who were suffering from mild erectile dysfunction. "Previous studies have shown benefits and it seems to work quickly," he added. "I think it could be useful for men with mild erectile dysfunction."

If the experiment succeeds and the gel receives its approval, the product will be available through prescription. And each gel is expected to provide a cheap remedy for libido problems because each of it will cost less than £1 per day, according to The Telegraph.
