Equality In Wages Suggests An Opportunity For Equality In Parenting

America has always had issues when it comes to equality and recently, President Barack Obama wants to make an improvement when it comes to the working class -- having an equal pay for both male and female. This is crucial because it would have a huge impact in the lives of families, especially the ones who are on post-divorce relationships and had to co-parent their child.

In an article published by Financial Times, the U.S. President wants to solve issues regarding the gender pay gap that the country is experiencing. He decided to model what the British Prime Minister has done in order to bring light to this issue. The U.K. has a good standing when it comes to this matter since their record shows such shrinking gender pay gap for the last 15 years. They have held into that record for that long more than any other places that are known for having a rich economy.

Now, Obama is starting to go over this change by wanting U.S. companies to disclose how much they are paying both their male and female staff in order to see the gender pay gap. Another article from Financial Times also said that workers of this generation have more benefits than workers from way back. The government is becoming more considerate of the people's welfare knowing that it would affect each person's family and lifestyle.

Back in the days where women were not really considered to be working for the money, the gender pay gap issue was even more evident, but it would help that a woman has received quality education.

These days, it is still ongoing, but it is safe to say that it is not as bad as the 60s or the decades before the new millennium. However, Obama still wants everyone to experience equality with their pay because this would also help in boosting the economy of the country.
