'Thor 3' Release Date, Cast, Plot & Update: 'Thor: Ragnarok' Will Get Hulk Yapping in Marvel's 'Midnight Run'

Marvel's "Thor 3" will debut a few big changes, including those that concern the Hulk. While Mark Ruffalo as the Hulk/Bruce Banner accompanies Chris Hemsworth as Thor in searching the cosmos for the missing All-Father Odin, the Hulk may be seen taking up more than a few lines in the "Thor: Ragnarok" script. This will be a Hulk-sized leap from his previous mono-liners in "The Avengers" films.

According to Entertainment Weekly, director Taika Waititi told HitFix about the deliberation on this for "Thor 3." "I think a lot of those conversations have more to do with what's going to come up in future movies," Waititi said. "So I think a lot of those decisions are larger group decisions, rather than anything to do with just me or the writer."

As a general tone to "Thor: Ragnarok," however, cast and fans are excited to see Waititi's touch to the material.  In an earlier report by Parent Herald, "Thor 3" star Chris Hemsworth remarked that "Thor 3" will be returning to a more comedic approach.

HitFix reports that Waititi assured that "Thor 3" will not be a slapstick. "It's not going to be a crazy comedy, like over the top," Waititi said. "But that's definitely my strength and that's what they were looking for when they approached me. So, I think that is the thing I can bring to it to give it a different spin and freshen it up a bit."

Waititi humorously told The Wrap how he intends to accomplish this. "Just fill it with jokes, I reckon," Waititi said. "I'll take the second film and just add some jokes to that."

Definitely, having Hulk expand his hilarious injections into conversations will be a refreshing experience. "I think we all want that," Waititi remarked. "I think we all want to see that development and the evolution of that character. I also think you can do it in a fun way."

Interestingly, Mark Ruffalo who plays Bruce Banner likens "Thor: Ragnarok" to the '80s hit "Midnight Run," which starred Robert De Niro and Charles Grodin.

"Thor: Ragnarok" is slated to open in theaters in November 2017. If you agree or disagree that the Hulk should be given more lines in "Thor 3," or in any other film for that matter, log in your thoughts in the comments section below.
