'GTA 6' Release Date & Update: Launching Date Pushed Back Further After Rockstar's Leslie Benzies Left

Rockstar's "Grand Theft Auto" has made its way to the hall of fame as being one of the best game franchises in the gaming industry and it shows just how much people love the game with their willingness to wait for the next one. The last "Grand Theft Auto" to be released was "Grand Theft Auto 5" and, until now, the hype and excitement of gamers with the game has not died down.

But still, gamers are asking when then 6th installment will come. "Grand Theft Auto 6," according to some news, is already in the making. Unfortunately, bad news came from Rockstar Studio when they announced that one of the biggest influencing factors of the "Grand Theft Auto" game has left them.

When news came that Leslie Benzies has decidedly left Rockstar Studios, the first thing that people reacted to about is what's going to happen with the future "GTA 6." After all, Benzies is one of the key personalities behind the successful game.

It was known at first that Benzies was on sabbatical leave after the release of "GTA 5,." However, Benzies never returned to Rockstar.

"We can confirm that Leslie Benzies went on sabbatical on Sept. 1, 2014 and has decided not to return to work for the company. We are very grateful for Leslie's contributions to Rockstar over the last 15 years as we worked together to make some amazing games," the company stated.

"Leslie helped us build an incredible team that will continue to create great experiences for our fans. Leslie will always be a friend to the company and of course we are going to miss him but we wish him the absolute best for the future," it continued.

Fans aren't losing hope though, because fans believe that "GTA 6" will be released as soon as the new gaming consoles will be released, and that could mean that it can happen 4 years from now. As of now, Rockstar Studios is concentration on DLC's for "GTA 5."
