Apple Watch 2 Release Date And Specs News

Apple will host an event in March, where the company will announce several new gadgets. Consumers hope that the Apple Watch 2 will be among the devices that will be announced.

According to the website 9to5mac.com, Apple's March event will take place in the week commencing 14 March 2016. Some reports suggest that the Apple Watch 2 will be announced at the event, while others claim that the second generation Apple Watch could be launched later, in September 2016.

Since Apple usually follows a yearly cycle with many of its products, it is still possible that Apple Watch 2 will be announced in March and launched in April. Among the sources that claim that the gadget will be announced at the Apple's event in March is also included the reputable website macworld.co.uk. The same prediction is also made by 9to5Mac.

Another report regarding the release date comes from China. Barry Lam, the chairman of Quanta, declared that he expects to be the manufacturer of the second generation Apple Watch since Quanta manufactured the first generation device. Based on Lam's declaration about a possible time window of the Apple Watch 2 release, this is possible to happen in June 2016.

It is expected that Apple will introduce a new multi-function band along the second generation watch, along with updating the body of the device. Also, according to reports, Apple will add to the second generation watch a FaceTime video camera integrated in the top bezel, enabling users to make and receive video calls.

Some other reports suggest ahead of its official launch that the Apple Watch 2 will feature a full suite of health sensors besides the basic heart-rate and activity tracking. This is still unconfirmed. However, it is highly possible, since BuzzFeed News reported that the high-tech company has stolen employees from all over the medical field over the last three months. This could indicate that Apple is working on a project related to fitness tracking and health sensors.
