"Sense8" Season 2 may premiere on the expected Aug. 2016 release date if things turn out well. Motion Picture Capital tweeted that filming for the upcoming season of the Netflix original series has begun.

"#Sense8 season 2 is filming and on its way, @joroddd! Keep an eye on us, @Sense8 and @sense8intfans for news!" replied Motion Picture Capital to a fan who asked for updates about the upcoming season.

This may come as good news for fans and viewers of the series, as rumors previously claimed that the release date for "Sense8" Season 2 may be pushed back to a later date. According to the reports, filming for season 1 took seven months, which meant that the upcoming season may return by late 2016 or early 2017.

There have been speculations, however, that "Sense8" Season 2 will premiere in Aug. 2016, which is a year later after Netflix announced the renewal of the show and the same day as the eight Sensates' birthday.

Jamie Clayton, who plays the role of transgender character Nomi, also teased fans that there will be exciting episodes ahead for Season 2 on Twitter.

"I just read @sense8 ep 3, Season 2. HOLY MOLY. Y'all aren't even ready!! I'm so grateful to be a part of this kickassery! @netflix #Sense8," she tweeted.

"Sense8" Season 2 is expected to feature the brewing love triangle between Rajan, Kala and Wolfgang. In an earlier interview with Purah Kohli, the actor admitted to The News Hub that he wanted to see Rajan's bad side next season.

"Love is a strange thing, I guess, and Rajan surely feels a heavy surge of it for Kala," he said.
