'Final Fantasy' News & Updates: Tickets Sold Out At Release Date Event

From previous reports, we knew that "Final Fantasy XV" will be released in March. Now, Square Enix has confirmed that the event called Final Fantasy Uncovered will take place on March 30 at 7PM PT, in Los Angeles. The event will be hosted by Greg Miller and will come with some announcements and surprises.

Tickets for the "Final Fantasy XV" release date event only became available on February 5, around 4pm PT/7pm ET. Tickets were being offered through the Square Enix website for free. But, if you cannot find a ticket anymore, it is because they have been sold out by the very next day, according to the developer. This is disappointing for those fans who could not manage to secure a ticket in time, however, it is hardly surprising.

At least, as consolation for those who could not find a ticket for the release date event, they can tune in from around the globe to the live stream on March 30. Square Enix will ensure the live streaming of the two hours long event. This seems to be somehow similar to the PlayStation Experience event, according to Gaming Bolt

Dualshockers reports that the game will feature a special gallery allowing players to check 3D models of characters, enemies, weapons and even food. The 3D models available will depend on the status of the gamer. As the group travels through the massive game world, the character Prompto will create another gallery by taking pictures.

Marketing Manager Akio Ofuji and Director Hajime Tabata returned recently for the first Active Time Report of 2016, according to PlayStationLifestyle. The report reveals details about the release date event, game play footage and a new character.

The new character in "Final Fantasy XV" is the commander of Niflheim's Third Army Corps 87th Airborne Division, Aranea Highwind. From the report, we find out that she's is called "Dragoon" within the Imperial military and she is skilled in aerial combat. Following the Active Time Report, Square Enix also released some high-res screenshots.
