'Uncharted 4: A Thief's End' Release Date, News & Update: Game Is Recording New Mo-Cap?

Since the game was "wrapped" last October, motion capture for "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End" was supposed to have been already completed.

According to new reports, it seems that the "mocap wrap" announced by creative director Neil Druckmann's tweet was four months premature. Naughty Dog lead animator Jeremy Yates tweeted the words "Donning the Drake suit just ONE LAST TIME" along with a picture of himself back in the studio (#Uncharted4 pic.twitter.com/g5FOzzUJko). This suggests that some element of the storyline has changed or that certain scenes are being re-shot, requiring new mo-cap.

The game has been already delayed once, according to Games Radar. Fans of the "Uncharted" game franchise are concerned that the PS4 exclusive that will be Nathan Drake's last adventure will be delayed again. The "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End" game was supposed to be released in April and shooting fresh footage so close to its release date can only lead to more delays.

According to Dailystar, based off comments by Neil Druckmann, many believe that Drake might not survive the upcoming final release in the game series. Druckmann declared that Nathan Drake struggles to balance his passion with his relationship with family and friends. Even if this wouldn't be a good business decision at the height of Drake's popularity, he has been with this character for so long and the best way to finish his story is to go out on top.

We still assume that "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End" will be launched on the announced date, on April 26. Anyone who enjoyed the Nathan Drake series on PlayStation 3 and who doesn't yet own a PlayStation 4 might be interested in the recently announced PS4 bundle. The Limited Edition bundle comes with a hard copy of the game, wireless headset and Dual Shock 4 controller. The bundle will be available soon for pre-order at selected retailers.
