'The Flash' Season 2 Spoilers, News & Update: Escape from Earth-2 Featurette [VIDEO]

In the season one finale of the CW's series "The Flash" based on DC Comics characters, Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) and the rest of the team at S.T.A.R. Labs opened up a portal to alternate universes above Central City. In season two, Team Flash has been battling metahumans, facing Zoom, the Earth-2 villain, and working with alternate version on Harrison Wells (Tom Cavanagh).

In "Welcome to Earth-2", episode 13 or season two, Barry, Cisco and Harry travel to Earth-2 for rescuing Harry's daughter Jesse from Zoom. After Barry was captured by Zoom, in episode 14 his friends are trying to track down the Earth-1 Flash. The featurette for the upcoming episode 14 shows a different Barry from the character his fans know.

ComicBook.com posted the last promo teaser for the episode titled "Escape from Earth-2". Based on the promo teaser we can expect that in the next episode the Flash/Barry will assure Dr. Wells' daughter Jesse that they will get her out of Zoom's lair. In the clip the Flash tells the scared and confused Jesse that he is there with her dad and they will help her out.

According to Screen Rant, executive producers Todd and Aaron Helbing explained how the Flash Team of Earth-1's S.T.A.R. Labs could help breaking out Jesse and The Flash of Zoom's prison. The team is accepting help from alternate versions of Iris West and Barry Allen. There are similarities as well as differences between their Earth-1 and Earth-2 personalities.

After Barry has been captured by Zoom at the end of episode 13, Earth-1 Cisco and Earth-2 Harry don't know where Zoom's lair is, explained Helbing in the featurette. They turn to CSI, Earth-2 Barry Allen to lead the way. He's resourceful and skillful even if a bit uptight.

Helbing also added that the episode 14 will also explain Barry and Iris' relationship. Earth-2 Iris reveals in the upcoming episode that Zoom was responsible for the death of her father, Earth-2 Joe West. For this reason she is very determined to help defeat the bad guy.

Episode 14 will also reveal the relationship between Zoom and Caitlin's Earth-2 alter ego Killer Frost. Panabaker said in an interview with MTV News that the two villains have a history together.
