Celebrity Moms: Tyra Banks Shares First Pic of Baby Son York Banks Asla

Former supermodel Tyra Banks just shared the first photos of her newborn baby boy, York Banks Asla. The 42-year-old entrepreneur shared the first look at her son on Sunday via Instagram, just a few weeks after his birth.

As York snuggles onto Tyra's chest in a swaddle, Tyra dons her signature smize with a tranquil look. Topped off with a "brightly patterned scarf" on her head.

"This is the Happiest Valentine's Day of my life. York, Daddy @erikasla and I send you so much love," she wrote for the caption.

Banks and her boyfriend, Norweigan photographer Erik Asla have previously struggled with fertility issues. Unable to conceive, Tyra and Erik enlisted the help of a gestational surrogate to bring life to their baby boy.

"As I gaze into the beautiful eyes of my son, I think about all the people who struggle with fertility or carrying a child and continue to pray for them every day," Banks previously told People. "My hopes and dreams are filled with well wishes that they get to fell what my little treasure, York Banks Asla, feels like in my arms."

It was back in January 27 when Tyra first announced (and surprised everyone with) the birth of her baby boy through an Instagram post. "The best present we worked and prayed so hard for is finally here," the caption read.

"He's got my fingers and big eyes and his daddy Erik's mouth and chin. As we thank the angel of a woman that carried our miracle baby boy for us, we pray for everyone who struggles to reach this joyous milestone. York Banks Asla, welcome to the world," she continued.
