‘Scandal’ Season 5 Episode 11 Spoilers: 3 Latest Scoops About Upcoming Episode ‘The Candidate’

The return of the midseason premiere of "Scandal" Season 5 has been much-awaited by its fans as the President's former wife Mellie Grant and ex-mistress Olivia Pope joined forces to work together. In the upcoming Episode 11 of the political thriller television series, the role of Kerry Washington was seen trying her best to take hold of the oval office once again.

And as President Fitz's past flames were starting to collaborate, here were the three major spoilers of the upcoming episode, "The Candidate."

First, the next installment's synopsis was already revealed and it has been said that Mellie was asking for Olivia's helping hand for her presidential campaign, but she might be surprised of her demands, according to its own network ABC. Also, Liz was trying to convince Susan Ross to run for the presidency as Abby and Cyrus were in trouble as a profile piece of Fitz was being questioned.

Second, Mellie believed that she needed the wit Olivia has for her team. However, it looks like Olivia was still confused if she's going to accept her offer, but she thought this was her only way to have a place in the White House and gain power, CarterMatt added.

And lastly, in the "Scandal" Season 5 Episode 11 trailer, Mellie was surprised when Olivie was asking her to change a whole chapter of her book to make it more pleasing. In fact, she said that the secret to her success was to reveal the reason why she decided to stay with Fitz in spite of knowing all his infidelities and mistress.

She was bewildered by the explosion Olivia wanted her to create, as she's exactly the one who destroyed her marriage. But, Mellie stayed firm and told the latter to focus more on their business and leave their personal lives out of work.
