iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus Release Date, Specs, Price & Update: Ceramic Back On iPhone 7

iPhone 7 rumours give us hints about new features that could appear in the next generation mobile phone from Apple. It is expected that the new gadget will come with with built-in Touch ID.iPhone, wireless charging and a ceramic back. It seems that Apple will also replace the 3.5mm headphone jack.

According to Macworld, it is expected that Apple will launch two new iPhones in September 2016, but it is also possible to see an update to the 4-inch iPhone line earlier than the autumn. A 5.5 inch model will be called iPhone 7 Plus and a 4.7 inch model will be called iPhone 7.

After the largely identical iPhone 6/6s generations, the iPhone 7 is likely to get a substantial physical redesign. It is expected to be thinner than ever. One way of achieving this could be removing the headphone jack. This will force music fans to use headphones that connect via the Lightning port or to use wireless Bluetooth headphones. Other design changes could include a ceramic back, the removal of the antenna bars and a flush camera.

According to Tech Radar, the battery life in the iPhone 7 could be slightly better than in the iPhone 6s. However, it seems that Apple will not focus on this feature because their devices already have decent batteries. And if the iPhone 7 does become slimmer there is no much space for improvement in the battery area.

It is possible that the iPhone 7 will feature higher screen resolution. The screen resolution that was exclusive to the iPhone 6 Plus and 6s Plus might be applied to all the models in the next generation. In terms of storage it is expected that the iPhone 7 will start at 32GB and offer 64GB and 128GB options.

The next generation phone from Apple could get a USB-C port similar with that included in the new 12 inch MacBook, however this is unlikely after the recent change to the Lightning port.

Other possible improvements in iPhone 7 are edge-to-edge screen, wireless charging and better waterproofing. Some previous rumors about the next generation mobile device seem to not be confirmed. Among them are included a curved display, 3D screen, flexible display, spring-out gaming joystick in the Home button.
