'Thor 3' Movie Release Date, News & Update: Samuel L. Jackson to Return as Nick Fury

Latest reports about "Thor 3: Ragnarok" reveals that pre-production is currently underway in Australia. Rumors are also circulating that Samuel L. Jackson will return to star as Nick Fury in the third instalment.

Samuel L. Jackson is rumored to reprise his role as Nick Fury, citing Gold Coast Bulletin The actor has been playing the same Marvel character in several Marvel Cinematic Universe movie series. He reportedly appeared in "Iron Man", "Captain America", and the "Avengers". However, Jackson won't play a part in the upcoming "Captain America: Civil War" movie.

Jackson has been filming in Australia's Village Roadshow Studios for the movie "Kong: Skull Island". He was seen working with actor Tim Hiddleston who portrayed Loki in "Thor." Furthermore, reports state that pre-production for Thor 3 will begin this week, bringing the two actors to return to the same filming site as Thor will be using the same studio,  Movie Guide reported.

As of date, the confirmed cast members for Thor 3 are Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Tom Hiddleston as his villain brother Loki and Mark Ruffalo as Hulk according to Movie Web. There are also rumours that Cate Blanchett will also play as the new villain Hela but this has not been confirmed yet.

The fact that most of the movie will take place within the cosmos and just a small part of the story will take place on earth makes Nick Fury's comeback all the more puzzling. This poses the question how the Earth-bound character will play in the film. These details about the movie were provided by the Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige way back in December.

If the Thor 3 casting rumours are true, then Jackson will only have one more Marvel film to complete. He reportedly has a nine-picture contract with Marvel Studios.

Thor 3 is scheduled for release on Nov. 3, 2017. Check out the seven things that need to happen in the movie collated by Clevvr Movies:
