Pregnant Emily Blunt: Playing 'Mary Poppins' in Disney Sequel

Beside from being excited about her second child, Emily Blunt was reported to play the magical nanny in the anticipated Disney's sequel to "Mary Poppins." According to reports, she will be working with project's producers, John DeLuca and Marc Platt.

The movie is set to be directed by Rob Marshall. According to Daily Mail, all four have previously collaborated together on another Disney film, "Into The Woods."

Emily has always been Disney's favorite as per reports. Even there are no details yet, Disney is excited to get the film into production as they set an appointment with the British actress to talk about her role.

The original 1964 film starred by 80-year-old Julie Andrews as the loving nanny and also Dick Van Dyke as her Cockney street artist pal Bert. Basically, it is a story of a nanny who came to work with magic powers while watching the unhappy family of a banker in pre-World War I England.

The new film will take place in Depression-era London 20 years after the first film, confirmed by reports. It will emphasize on Poppins' rolling adventures with the Banks family as the story lines will base on the novel by P.L. Travers' children books.

According to Variety, after the film was a big success, it grossed $100 million at the box office. As we can remember, the iconic movie also brought a saying that was added to the Oxford Dictionary in 1986, "supercalifragilisticexpialidocious."

The 32-year-old actress and John Krasinski announced they were expecting another child at the end of January. As we recall, they have welcomed their two-year-old daughter Hazel, in 2014.

Recently, Emily spotted hiding her baby bump in a grey jumper. She and her husband are on their way home after a romantic date in Studio City, Los Angeles, on Wednesday.
