Felicity Huffman Says She Is Failing As A Mother; Know Why Did She Say So

Felicity Huffman confessed that she's having a hard time balancing her work and her responsibilities as a parent. Hence, she admitted that sometimes, she feels like she's "failing as a mother."

The "Desperate Housewives" actress said despite the difficulties, she still feels lucky to do all the things she does. "First, I have to recognize how lucky I am to have to navigate these sorts of issues," the 53-year-old actress proudly said to PEOPLE. "I have a job that I love and a fabulous family whom I love."

With her fame and busy schedules, Huffman, who has two kids, Georgia, 13, and Sofia, 15, said people often ask her how she manages to balance her work and personal life. And her answer is always, "I don't. I just drop the ball all the time."

Huffman is currently busy in Austin, Texas for the filming of the "American Crime." While her husband, William H. Macy and her children are in Los Angeles. So, to see her family, the actress said she always tries to fly back to L.A. every two to three days. Nevertheless, the wife and mom said, "Sometimes I think, I'm failing as both a mother and an actress." However, she said she did anything she could to somehow bounce things back joyously.

Felicity is definitely having a hard time juggling her career and her family life. In fact, Huffman recently admitted to Queen Latifah Show that she can't wait to hear that "working mother" to be referred as "ridiculous as redundant as working father" -- believing that all moms work all the time.

Meanwhile, Huffman, who is playing the character of Barbara "Barb" Hanlon on the ABC series "American Crime" is slated to appear in John Ridley's ABC drama pilot "Presence." The gig was confirmed by the actress herself, "Figuring out the look for PRESENCE -- you guys like?" the actress wrote to Twitter.
