'The Blacklist' Season 3 Episode 16 Spoilers, News, Update: Will Liz Keen's Mother Come After Red Reddington? What Will "The Caretaker" Reveal About Red?

"The Blacklist Season 3" relieved fans of the cliffhanger over Tom Keen's ( Ryan Eggold, "Lovesong") survival during "The Blacklist Season 3" Episode 15 ("Drexel"). However, the relationship between Liz Keen (Megan Boone, "Family Games") and Red Reddington (James Spader, "Avengers: Age of Ultron") may be the one that does not survive Episode 16 ("The Caretaker").

According to Carter Matt, the pregnant Liz Keen continues to try and piece together the fate and whereabouts of her mother, who goes by the KGB alias "Katarina Rostova" In "The Blacklist Season 3" Episode 16, Liz Keen will find herself making progress, albeit an unexpected and even unwanted one.

In synopsis for "The Blacklist Season 6" Episode 16, Liz Keen and Red Reddington will find their paths crossing with those of a significant Blacklister. "After a State Department official is found dead in Beijing, Red (James Spader) and Liz (Megan Boone) link the murder to a secret keeper known as "The Caretaker," who maintains an impenetrable safety deposit vault for criminals," the synopsis stated. "Red and Liz work with the task force to find the Caretaker and his collection of lethal and classified secrets. Meanwhile, Tom (Ryan Eggold) makes a risky decision, while Liz persists on her quest to find out more about her mother."

The International Business Times reports that "The Caretaker," who keeps his stash of highly classified secret in a cemetery, will be revealing these secrets in "The Blacklist Season 3" Episode 16, including one that involves Reddington. The episode promo shows an intense exchange between Liz Keen and Reddington where Liz declares that some things are unforgivable.

The media outlet says that the lie that will be uncovered may have to do with Red's story about how "Katarina Rostova" was unable to deal with Liz Keen's effort to save Katarina by killing Katarina's husband - Liz's father. In Red's story, Liz Keen's mother walked into the ocean and was never heard from again.

Should the coming episode see Katarina Rostova coming after Reddington, the how and the why will soon be revealed. "The Blacklist Season 3" Episode 16 will air on Feb. 25 on NBC.
