Primate Care Experts Concerned That Justin Bieber Will Get Another Monkey

Primate care specialists have expressed concern on Justin Bieber's plan to get another monkey. The North American Primate Sanctuary Alliance penned a correspondence to the "Love Yourself" singer telling him that he would put the monkey and himself in danger if he gets another one.

"We are concerned that this choice will prove to be dangerous to both you and your monkey, as well as irresponsible when it comes to your public following," the letter read. The group claimed that they know a lot about monkeys because they care for more than 640 primates, who were previously owned as pets.

They said that they receive messages from people who bought a monkey, just like Bieber, then regretted their decision later on. "Monkeys quickly grow to be strong, cunning and difficult to manage. They can transfer disease and destroy your home," the North American Primate Sanctuary Alliance added.

It also highlighted that an individual cannot properly provide for the needs of a monkey inside a private home. These primates, the group claimed, should live in sanctuaries where they will be taken care of.

The group wrote to Bieber in reaction to his recent statement with GQ that he would like to have another monkey in the future. "Yeah, one day. Just gotta make sure I got a house and it stays in the fucking house. I'm not gonna bring him to Germany or travel with it anymore," he said.

He claimed that people would always ask him "Why did you get a monkey?" Bieber said that he advised people that if he can get a monkey, others can also get one for themselves. "Monkeys are awesome," he noted.

KESQ.com said Bieber's Capuchin monkey, Mally, was confiscated by authorities in Germany last 2013. The German officials claimed the monkey did not have complete papers to be transported to the country.
