'Bones' Season 11: Booth And Brennan Will Be Torn Between Hodgins And Angela

The midseason finale episode of "Bones" left Hodgins (TJ Thyne) paralyzed and this will complicate his relationship with his wife, Angela (Michaela Conlin), in the next season. As Hodgins goes through the different stages of grief, his friends Booth (David Boreanaz) and Brennan (Emily Deschanel) will be torn between him and Angela.

 An explosion during the midseason finale of "Bones" has caused Hodgins' spinal cord to swell which made him unable to walk, reports TV Guide. While the diagnosis isn't final, executive producer Michael Peterson tells TV Guide that they plan to put Hodgins in the chair for a long time. This may only mean that the second part of the season will follow Hodgins and how he will deal with his injury. The producer promised that the character will go through every single stage in dealing with tragedy.

Predictably, his inability to walk will affect his work and relationships with his wife, friends and kids. The producer also mentioned that the last part of the season will show Hodgins struggling with his relationships, especially that of his wife. TV Guide reports that a series of episodes will show Hodgins getting around his anger towards his situation. Angela will be on the edge around Hodgins, not knowing what could cause him to be angry.

The interview with TV Guide also revealed that Angela may turn to Sebastian Kohl (Gil Darnell) for comfort that will create tension inside Angela. She will be torn between a life with Hodgins that could mean permanent disability and a life with Sebastian that could fulfil her dreams of being an artist and travelling.

Christian Post added this isn't the only conflict that may arise. Peterson was quoted by the news site saying, "There will be times when people fall on different sides of the line. There are different allegiances that are going to happen."

Seeing how Angela will suffer because of Hodgins' attitude towards her, Brennan will most likely side with Angela, reports Christian Post. Booth in the other hand will likely side with Hodgins; he will try to put himself in his friend's situation. With this, there's a possibility that Brennan and Booth's relationship may also be affected.
