Apple MacBook Pro 2016 Release Date, Specs, Price & Update: Release Date Coming Soon

Following a significant price cut on the model 15-inch Retina MacBook Pro, market experts consider that the release of Apple MacBook Pro 2016 may be imminent. However, there is no official announcement from Apple yet.

There are for now three possible dates of release for the next generation Apple MacBook Pro. The soonest release could happen at rumored Apple events on March and April. If this will not prove to be true then the next expected release date is at the WWDC event in June.

Yibada reported that the 15-inch Retina MacBook Pro got a massive discount.  Always Deals Store is currently offering the device via eBay at a price of $1,950. From an original price of $2,499, this is a significant discount of over $500.

The configuration includes 2.5GHz quad-core Core i7 CPU, 512GB SSD storage and 16GB 1600MHz RAM. Other features included are Force Touch trackpad, AMD Radeon R9 M370X graphics and built-in battery lasting up to 9 hours. Other rumors claim that the device will come with a Skylake CoreM processor.

Master Herald reported in related news that the improvements in the Apple MacBook Pro 2016 will be focused on an improved hardware and a lighter, thinner body. Up to date, the main selling point of the MacBook lineup has always been its "comfortable form factor" and its "lightweight, portable design". However, the MacBook Air's existence may become obsolete if the MacBook Pro 2016 will go with a much thinner and lighter body.

The report published in Master Herald also added that some of the major improvements in the hardware of the MacBook Pro 2016 are the improved Force Touch trackpad for increased security and the USB Type-C.

The MacBook Pro 2016 is expected to keep the feature of the Retina Display. Some other rumors claim the upcoming laptop might include a touch screen display. However, if this feature will be included, it might result in significant increase in price.
