Daniel Craig Will Not Reprise Role as James Bond, Is Craig Done With The James Bond Franchise?

While earlier reports state that Daniel Craig will continue in the forthcoming Bond 25, the actor himself are dropping hints that he may not continue with the franchise anymore. According to recent reports, Craig may be all done with the James Bond franchise.

Craig appeared to have moved on from the James Bond role while he was on a press tour for Spectre, Screenrant reported. He was observed dropping strong hints that he plans to explore other opportunities. However, series producers believe that Craig will still star in another instalment however, no statements were released to confirm this.

Aside from hints from the actor himself, Mark Strong has also suggested that his friend may also be done with the James Bond movie. While he was promoting his new comedy "The Brothers Grimsby", he candidly spoke with Short List about Daniel Craig and James Bond movie. He was quoted saying:

"Do you know what, I'd have loved to have played the villain in a Bond movie while Daniel was doing it because he's a pal and that would have been great. But I think he's come to the end of his Bond time and so it's probably never going to happen, but that would have always been great."

While Craig and Strong may actually turn out great for any Bond movie, the latter's words do not confirm anything about Craig's role in the movie series. Screenrant described Strong to be thoughtful and reflective while he was airing his words.

Craig has played in four films in the James Bond movie series. The actor's portrayal was reported to be well-received by most fans. However, Screenrant believes that it may actually best for Craig to move on from 007 since the Spectre ended in an absolute way. This leaves many to speculate where Craig will pick from Spectre. More so, the last instalment had not been received well by audiences and critics.
