Country star Billy Ray Cyrus shared a tribute on Father's Day featuring photos of a recent reunion with daughter Miley Cyrus amid ongoing family drama with Trace Cyrus.
The singer posted several family photographs on Instagram and marked the holiday with a song that featured his daughter, Noah Cyrus. The 63-year-old star also shared a new photo with Miley following the two of them reuniting recently.
Billy Ray Cyrus' Father's Day Tribute
In his post, Billy said his grandfather taught his father, who taught him that when you are lost, "Stand Still." The photos in the post showed the father of five children with his young ones but did not show Trace or Christopher.
The country singer was previously married to Tish Cyrus for three decades, during which he adopted her older children, Trace and Brandi. During their relationship, they had three kids of their own, Miley, Braison Cyrus, and Noah.
Last month, Miley broke her silence regarding the rumors of a rift with her family and she posted an Instagram story a day after sharing a birthday tribute to her brother, Braison. This came after social media users said that the "Wrecking Ball" singer's mother, Tish, unfollowed her earlier that week, according to Fox News.
In her post, Miley said that she rarely comments on various rumors about her and her family, noting that she and her mother are "too tight" for anything to come between them. She added that like other mothers, her mom struggled with her phone and somehow unfollowed her daughter on Instagram.
The singer added that she and her dad have had their challenges over the years, adding now that she is in her 30s, her family is her priority above everything else. Miley said that time has helped with healing and she is grateful for the good health and love that flows through her family.
Ongoing Family Drama
Billy's recent Father's Day tribute noticeably did not include Trace, who recently said that his father is "the lamest man ever to walk planet Earth." The issue primarily stems from the country singer allegedly skipping the funeral of Tish's mother, Billboard reported.
Trace said that instead of going to the funeral, Billy flew to Italy with his girlfriend Elizabeth Hurley for a fashion show. He added that his father was so desperate for fame that it was "pathetic."
He noted that the best thing to come out of his father's downfall is that it made him go into beast mode, adding that he did not want to be a "washed up, delusional, evil person" when he gets old like Billy, as per Page Six.
