After he was locked up, the teen panicked and later called 911 to ask the local police department for assistance. Soon after, police officers showed up and helped Mallon out of the cell before arresting him for criminal trespassing.

At that point, the teenager told police officers that he was only inside the jail to take some selfies, which he would have most likely posted on his social media pages. The incident took place after midnight, which suggested that Mallon knew that he was not supposed to be in the facility, according to WRAT.

After the teenager was arrested, he has been scheduled to appear at the Town of Fishkill court at a later date. The incident marks one of the many instances of young folks tackling dangerous or illegal activities for online fame.

Some go as far as risking their lives, such as going to high-up places, forbidden places, and many more. There have been a lot of reports of these individuals losing their lives because of an accident while others were arrested, Rock929Rocks reported.

TikTok Prank Gone Wrong

One example of this, which had a tragic end, is when a Virginia teenager was shot and killed by a homeowner while he was trying to record a TikTok prank video. The shooter was identified as Tyler Chase Butler, who was arrested and charged with various counts, including second-degree murder.

The victim in that particular case was later identified as Michael Bosworth Jr. who was with a friend recording a ding-dong ditch prank video. Deputies responded to the residence following reports of a burglary in progress.

Shortly after the shooting, authorities transferred Bosworth Jr. to a local hospital to be treated but he was later pronounced dead. The friend he was with, who was also a juvenile, was injured but treated and subsequently released from the hospital.

The homeowner, who was 27 years old, said that he thought the teenagers were trying to break into his home. A search warrant revealed that one of the teens told detectives they were only trying to record a prank video to upload on TikTok, as per NBC News.
