These Girls Are Pole Dancing On National TV! (Watch) Should Parents Allow Their Kids To Do It?

A video posted online on Feb.16 is now going viral because it involves eight to 11-year-old girls in white crop tops and extremely short bottoms pole dancing on a morning show on TV. Many are now raising the question if this kind of activity is even appropriate for kids.

In an article published by The Daily Mail, they reported the said viral video, which originated from a morning show called "This Morning" via the network ITV. It featured two 8-year-old girls, Till-May and Timea, along with another 11-year-old girl, Mia, working the pole -- showing off some sexy dance moves while wearing some really scanty outfits.

The show aims to feature a new fitness program for kids and apparently, it involves them doing some pole dancing. Now, a lot of parents are concerned if that kind of exercise is even appropriate for kids. Although there are many who would say they are against it, there are also some who think it should not be a big deal.

Café Mom also got a hold of this viral video and wrote their two cents about the ongoing debate between and among millennial parents and conservatives about this pole dancing in children craze. According to the website, pole dancing itself as a form of exercise was actually not that bad and is actually impressive. It is like a combination of gymnastics and dance, which could even encourage children to pursue arts as they focus on staying fit instead of other stuff that would make them unproductive and eventually unhealthy.

But on the other hand, a lot of people also make a good point that it is probably not a good idea for kids to do it because it sexualizes them at a very young age. This is where the job of parents takes place -- requiring them to make their kids aware of what could possibly be the consequences of practicing this kind of activity could do to them.

What about you? If you are a parent, what do you think of pole dancing for kids?
