Shakira Lets Children Sleep Early to Spend Quality Time with Gerard Pique

"Hips Don't Lie" singer Shakira makes sure that her kids are in bed early for her and partner Gerard Pique to spend some quality time together. The Colombian singer revealed that she is strict when it comes to bedtime for her two sons, Milan and Sasha.

"In my house everyone goes to bed at 8.30 so daddy and mummy can play at being lovers," Shakira mentioned in a Daily Star report. "I'm very German when it comes to timetables.

She also claimed that her problem with punctuality was solved when she already had kids. "I was never punctual and it was my great professional failing but I have to admit that my children have straightened me out," the diva shared.

The mother of two officially announced her relationship with the FC Barcelona defender last 2011. Mid-day said they first met in 2011 when Pique in Shakira's video "Waka-Waka," the official song of the FIFA World Cup that year.

They have since been blessed with two cute and adorable baby boys. According to the same report, Shakira was recently asked whom she would choose between Prince Harry and Prince William for a date. The 39-year-old performer refused to pick and said she already has found her prince. "I've got my own prince so I can't help you on that one," she claimed.

Shakira also mentioned with Daily Star that she has a very demanding personality at home and that she is always having a hard time relaxing.

"I have a happy temperament which compensates and Gerard likes that," the singer shared. "He once told me something I think is the most romantic thing I've ever heard him say which is that he likes my defects and that he couldn't live without them," she added.

She also noted that her husband's statement was greatly appreciated because she has a lot of shortcomings and defects. "That is a definite compliment because I've got a lot, definitely more than a dozen," Shakira furthered.
