'Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them' Spoilers, News and Updates: Newt Scamander will not be Alone in his Quest

Newt Scamander, the lead character in the movie "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" is set on a fascinating adventure of finding magical creatures around the world. A featurette for the film reveals that he won't be alone on that adventure, though.

Ecumenical News recently reported that a featurette of the film gave away that Scamander, portrayed by Eddie Redmayne, will not be alone in his pursuit of the magical creatures which escaped from his suitcase.

Set in the 1920s, the story follows Scamander, a magizoologist, as he travels to New York for a Magical Congress carrying a magically expanded briefcase filled with mysterious creatures. When the creatures managed to escape due to an unfortunate accident, authorities went after Scamander. This increases the tension between the magical and nonmagical relations.

To prevent further chaos, Scamander and his set of friends are resolved to find the fantastic beasts which escaped from his suitcase. Jacob Kowalski (Dan Folger), Porpentina Goldstein (Katherine Waterson), Queenie (Alison Sudol) and a non-magical person will join forces with Scamander on his quest to bring back the fantastic beasts inside the suitcase, reports Ecumenical News.

Aside from this, snippets from the featurette also suggest that Kowalski was just accidentally forced to the magical world. Ecumenical News described Kowalski as someone who wanted a simple life right after a war. However, a scene from the featurette may hint that he may be the one responsible for unleashing the fantastic beasts as he is seen opening a suitcase.

Cast members also include Colin Farrell, Ron Perlman, Samantha Morton, Jon Voight, Jen Murray, Carmen Ejogo, Ezra Miller, and Faith Wood-Blagrove. "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" is directed by David Yates, reports Ecumenical News. Rowling herself wrote the screenplay.

"Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" is a prequel to the "Harry Potter" movies, some 80 years before Harry started going to Hogwarts, reports Movie Pilot. This is the first instalment of a trilogy. The film is slated to be released in theaters worldwide on Nov. 18, 2016.
