'The Blacklist' Season 3 Episode 17 Air Date, Spoilers: Will 'Red Wedding' For Liz And Tom Lead To Someone's Death?

While "The Blacklist" Season 3 Episode 16 gave fans and Megan Boone's Liz Keen some answers, the episode also closed with even more secrets between Liz Keen and "Avengers: Age of Ultron" actor James Spader's Red Reddington. One thing followers will see when the show returns for "The Blacklist" Season 3 Episode 17 will be how deep a wedge was driven between Liz Keen and Red Reddington by the revelations in "The Caretaker" episode.

International Business Times points out that one of the reasons that the pregnant Liz Keen will go through with her wedding to "Lovesong" actor Ryan Eggold's character Tom in "The Blacklist" Season 3 Episode 17 might be Red Reddington's oppostion to the union. Tom is supposedly unable to convince Red Reddington that the change he shows is sincere. In previous episodes of "The Blacklist," Tom had been seen making the effort to turn things around and make up for his past. Tom had, in fact, almost been killed by Margarita Levieva's character and Tom's former girlfriend Gina Zanetakos.

Red Reddington believes that Tom is only putting on a show and remains the man Tom claims to have left behind. "Please don't do this," Red pleads with Liz Keen. "Tom is not the man you think he is, he's a criminal." Still, the promo for "The Blacklist" Season 3 Episode 17 shows Liz Keen walking down the aisle in her wedding dress while a smiling Tom waited at the altar. Red Reddington is noticeably absent from among the guests and the entourage.

Given what Liz Keen discovered about Red Reddington and the lie about her mother in "The Blacklist" Season 3 Episode 16, Liz Keen is more likely to believe Tom over Red's claims. Nonetheless, Red Reddington will not give up without a fight.

Carter Matte points out that the term "Red Wedding" is an apt term for Liz Keen and Tom's wedding. Red Reddington will likely put in all effort into preventing the "Red Wedding." The media outlet suggests that "The Blacklist" Season 3 Episode 17 may even lead to someone's death. Since "The Blacklist" Season 3 Episode 17 promo closed with Liz Keen in tears, "The Blacklist" events may indeed likely take a distressing turn.
