'Scandal' Season 5 Spoilers: Olivia Pope Confronts Fitz For Child-Like Behavior

"Scandal" has been heating things up lately as the show's fifth season progresses. In fact, episode 13, entitled "The Fish Rots From the Head," brings a very unexpected confrontation between Fitz (Tony Goldwyn) and Olivia Pope (Kerry Washington).

As shown in the "Scandal" season 5 episode 13 promo, Olivia Pope and Fitz finally bring their much anticipated confrontation into fruition.

According to Ecumenical News, Olivia Pope will visit the White House, but only to confront Fitz about his child-like behavior, in terms of his current affair with journalist Lillian, played by Annabeth Gish.

During the confrontation, Olivia is seen asking Fitz, sarcastically, if he wants to be remembered as a "reckless, negligent and selfish" commander-in chief. Surely Fitz didn't expect this kind of reaction from anyone, let alone Olivia.

By the end of the promo teaser, Fitz is seen mentally preparing to defend himself - which leads fans to speculate that "Scandal" season 5 episode 13 will deliver a lot of OMG moments for its viewers.

"I can tell you that Fitz is all alone," Tony Goldwyn, speaking of his "Scandal" character, told Parade. "Olivia is trying to move on with her life, I am not sure what that means.

Meanwhile, Mellie (Bellamy Young) has teamed up with Olivia as she makes a run for presidency. Fans are kept on the edge of their seats as to how the new partnership will turn out, given the history they share with Fitz.

On the other hand, it's been revealed that Fitz will have one friend to turn to during this time of turmoil, which is Abby Whelan (Darby Stanchfield).

Fans are hoping that Abby's close relationship with Olivia, as well as her growing bond with Fitz, could bring the two lead characters back together, as reported by Christian Post.

"Scandal" season 5 is expected to return on March 10, 2016 on ABC with its 13th episode, "The Fish Rots From the Head."
