‘American Horror Story’ Season 6 Air Date, Cast, Plot & Update: Will Lady Gaga Play Central Role? Angela Bassett Will Return As An Alcoholic?

"American Horror Story Season 6" is building up nicely with the confirmed return of "London Has Fallen" actress Angela Bassett and "American Crime Story" actress Sarah Paulson. Fans of "American Horror Story" are also closely following news of returns by Lady Gaga, "Scream Queens" star Emma Roberts, "X-Men: Apocalypse" actor Evan Peters and Jessica Lange.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Angela Bassett gave a few clues and confirmations for "American Horror Story Season 6."

In "American Horror Story" Season 5, Angela Bassett played the character Ramona Royale opposite Lady Gaga as The Countess. In "American Horror Story Season 6," Angela Bassett will once again be challenged by a character, which was interestingly described by "American Horror Story" co-creator Ryan Murphy. Angela Bassett included a hint on Sarah Paulson's character in "American Horror Story Season 6" according to Ryan Murphy.  "He did tell me at the Golden Globes that I would imbibe a little bit too much and yet I was very inuitive also and maybe Sarah [Paulson] was somehow the boss of me," Bassett said.

The question of seeing Lady Gaga in "American Horror Story Season 6" was also mentioned. According to Angela Bassett, Lady Gaga may currently be working on being part of "American Horror Story Season 6." As a strong lead in "American Horror Story" Season 5, Lady Gaga may be in the thick of things once more come "American Horror Story Season 6."

Angela Basset herself said that working with Lady Gaga in "American Horror Story" Season 5 had been an exciting experience. Lady Gaga gave a stellar version of The Countess. Bustle points out that given Lady Gaga's strong performance in Season 5, "American Horror Story Season 6" may yet again revolve around Lady Gaga.

As Variety reports, Lady Gaga won her first Golden Globe award for her performance in "American Horror Story" Season 5. This was immediately followed by a nomination under the Best Original Song category at the Oscars for her song "Til It Happens To You."

Fox will bring in "American Horror Story Season 6" this Fall. Casting confirmations will not take long now to reveal Lady Gaga, Emma Roberts, Evan Peters and Jessica Lange in appearances on "American Horror Story Season 6."
