Hollywood’s Top Divorce Lawyer Reveals There Will Be High-Profile Breakups This Month

Expect some high-profile breakups in Tinseltown this spring. Hollywood divorce lawyer Laura Wasser recently revealed that several of her A-list clients have promised to file cases shortly after the Oscars.

In a detailed interview with Bloomberg's Claire Suddath, Wasser said celebrities decided to wait out their divorce proceedings until after the star-studded event. Most of them didn't want to walk the red carpet alone.

Dubbed as the "Disso Queen," Wasser is currently working on 45 cases, many of which are divorce-related. She passes paperwork in bunches to avoid leakage and to protect the identities of her famous clients.

The 47-year-old attorney didn't name names, but she did give subtle hints as to who would be divorcing soon. She revealed that her richest client likes to complain about having custody of her children on weekends because it's a lot of work. Wasser said, "I'm like, 'That sounds like every weekend to me. Also, you have no job.'"

Another client wanted to sue her ex-husband for allegedly feeding their vegan child with a hamburger. "Vegans, man," Wasser told Suddath. "I'm sorry, but no judge is going to take away custody because you gave the kid In-N-Out."

Wasser's impressive clientele include Angelina Jolie, Stevie Wonder, Heidi Klum, Mariah Carey, Shaquille O'Neal, Gwen Stefani, Jennifer Garner and the Kardashian sisters, Kim, Khloe and Kourtney. Aside from representing celebrities, Wasser also accepts pro bono clients through the Harriett Buhai Center for Family Law in Los Angeles, as per Interview.

Wasser has two sons from separate relationships. She has no plans of marrying again and is content in having long-term boyfriends. Despite her work, she doesn't want people to think she is anti-love.

On the contrary, she believes married couples can overcome any obstacle so long as they address it with honesty and respect. She said she knows a lot of couples who are enjoying long and prosperous marriages. Wasser advises her friends to work their marriages out before ever thinking of having a divorce.
