MacBook Pro, Air 2016 News & Update: Apple Laptops Should Be Updated with Intel's Skylake

Fans of the Apple gadget are now anticipating for their upcoming event in March as new products are expected to be unveiled. Two of the lines that tech-savvy consumers are waiting are MacBook Pro and MacBook Air.

There are swirling rumors that the high-end Apple laptops are soon to be released. It has been said that the MacBook Pro Retina still carries the Haswell processors, which many considers to be upgraded with Intel's Skylake as it is the new demand in the market.

MacBook Air, on the other hand, has been said to be past due of any update. The powerful device is commended for its long-lasting battery life, but its aesthetics stay the same for quite awhile now.

Enthusiasts are looking forward that Apple will give MacBook Air a physical overhaul and some improvements to keep up with the trends today. Moreover, there are emerging reports that the tech giant company is eyeing to introduce their latest flagships in the March event with a tentative date between March 15 or March 20.

However, if the rumors are true, MacBook Pro, MacBook Air and other Apple gadgets can be seen in more or less than two weeks. Meanwhile, other laptop makers, like HP, Dell and Lenovo, are already using the Intel's sixth generation core processor in their devices.

Hence, some are assuming that MacBook Pro and MacBook Air are to be powered by Skylake. Apple is still using the Haswell/Broadwell. The Haswell microarchitecture was first introduced in 2013.

This just made Apple a little left behind and a bit slow as most of their MacBooks still have the 5th generation of Intel chips. The latest chip in the market, Skylake, offers a number of improvements compared to its predecessor, but still focusing on giving the laptop more battery life.

However, as of this writing, Apple is not yet confirming anything about the news and keeping every detail under wraps.
