4 Things Humans Do That Dogs Really Hates

It's no doubt that pets, especially dogs can take away our stress. A common notion that says "a dog is a man's best friend" is indeed true. Pet dogs are always loyal to us and this makes us happy.

Dogs can't talk to us and they just express their feelings through their actions. Sad thing is most of the people won't understand what they are trying to express. Do you know that pet dogs can hate their master sometimes?

There are a lot of things we do that our dog hates. So it is important for us to know these things to make our pet dog happy.

1.      Staring at your dog.

You may have noticed some dogs that are about to get into a street fight, the very common thing they do before engaging is staring at each other. Staring means challenging. This applies to dogs and humans too. If you have a dog that is naturally aggressive, staring at them is not a good idea because they might just accept your challenge.

2.      Hugging your dog.

Dogs are very cuddly and that's a fact. Some dogs may have gotten used to with hugging from their masters but dogs didn't evolve in this kind of self-expression like primates do. Dogs don't have long stretchy arms to wrap around you. For dogs, placing a leg or paw over them or at their back is an expression of dominance. Some dogs that are submissive may not show any reaction but this can highly threaten them.

3.      Walking your dog on a leash and preventing them to smell or explore the surrounding.

Dogs explore the world through sniffing. They naturally have a good sense of smelling and they use the sense of smell to track or find something. Dogs also mark their territory by peeing if they smelled a presence of a nonresident dog around. Female dogs also pee by attracting the opposite sex.

4.      Teasing your dog.

Teasing a dog-like barking back at them, making gestures like hitting them and throwing things at them are not advisable, especially to dogs that are locked up. These can lead to some dog behavioral problems like being too aggressive. Dogs are likely to bite if they are teased.

It's not just us humans who deserve to be happy but also our pets. Treat your dog right and he will return the favor.
