iPhone 7 Release Date, News & Updates: What To Expect From The Next-Gen Apple Smartphone

Experts expect many innovations and improvements from the next-generation Apple iPhone 7. It is certain that Apple is working hard to create a product that will feature unique aspects in every detail.

The high-tech giant aims to make its systems hard to imitate by taking ownership of every part of the device. For the upcoming iPhone 7 the company is using cutting edge materials, proprietary components, unique manufacturing processes and custom made processors.

It is most probable that Apple will launch a 4.7-inch iPhone called iPhone 6c or iPhone SE this March. However, according to Computerworld, the iPhone 7 is not expected to appear until Fall.

Some rumors published in a report by BGR claim that Apple will drop the numbers in the iPhone names. This would enable more variety in the range and more flexible product release cycles. In this case the upcoming iPhone 7 might be called iPhone Pro instead.

The iPhone 7 will be powered by a six-core A10 processor and will come equipped with more RAM. This would make the next-gen smartphone faster and would also extend its batter life.

According to MacOtakara the new iPhone 7 will come 1mm thinner. The slim form will be enabled by numerous improvements in the design of the new smartphone. The 3.5mm headphone jack will disappear from the iPhone 7. Apple is replacing the headphone jack with a thinner Lightning port. The new iPhone 7 is likely to feature mic-equipped wireless earbuds that provide decent stereo speakers.

NY Post report claims that Apple is working with Energous Corporation to develop a wireless charging solution. According to the report this system would allow charging the iPhone 7 at distances of up to 15-feet.

Experts expect a good quality dual lens camera in the upcoming iPhone 7. The state-of-the-art camera will make use of technologies acquired by Apple in 2014 with LinX Imaging. The high-tech company might also introduce OLED displays in the new iPhone line, probably later in 2017.
