According to Forbes, MacBook Pro 2016 and MacBook Air 2016 will soon be arriving in the market. These laptops due for upgrades, especially Air.

MacBook Air is very popular for its long battery life. Unfortunately, the mighty notebook from the Cupertino tech giant features the same look and design when it arrived several years ago. For this reason, it already needs a physical makeover.

Aside from the good looks and impressive design, many are hoping that MacBook Air 2016 will be also equipped with the latest processor in the market. Per CrossMap, the anticipated notebook is set to arrive with Intel's Skylake Processor.

So, what's with Skylake? Why is it so popular in the market today?

Skylake is the latest processor platform from Intel. This 14nm architecture is packed with great deals. According to Laptop Mag, it has a number of power-saving capacities and comes with integrated Intel 500 graphic chips for a faster and more efficient performance.

Skylake is 30 times faster than prior CPUs while its Intel 500 graphic chips are fast to beat over 80 percent of the other discrete graphics in the market. Moreover, its new GPU allows the user to connect up to three monitors all at once for the best productivity set up.

Skylake offers a better overall performance with faster speed, improved graphic prowess and impressive battery life compared to its predecessor. If you are not yet convinced, here's the statistics. The new processor offers 2.5 times faster performance, up to 30 times graphic improvements and up to three times longer battery usage.

There are rumors that Apple will be holding a "Spring Forward" event. In the said gathering, the company will be launching their new Apple Watch, new Apple MacBook and a couple more products. Some reports also suggest that the new line of laptops will be unveiled during the Worldwide Developers Conference in June.

At the time, nothing is confirmed yet, so these reports should be taken with a grain of salt. However, if these events will be pursued then perhaps, some details will be confirmed.
