'Street Fighter 5' News & Updates: The League Points Of ‘Rage Quitters’ Will Be Docked

Capcom has decided to implement a "severe punishment" against "rage quitters" on "Street Fighter 5." The League Points of these players will be docked to discourage this behavior.

Ever since Capcom launched "Street Fighter 5," "rage quitters" have proven to be a big issue. "rage quitters" are players who immediately disconnect from a match when they know that they are going to lose. By quitting matches, these "rage quitters" on "Street Fighter 5" get to keep their winning percentage high because disconnected games don't count as a win or loss.

There has been an outcry against the "rage quitters" in "Street Fighter 5." As a counter measure to discourage this behavior in "Street Fighter 5," Capcom has decided to start docking League Points of "rage quitters," according to Uber Gizmo.

The implemented punishment will be a short-term penalty, per Polygon. Capcom is still investigating a permanent solution that will be able to discourage and sanction "rage quitting" in "Street Fighter 5."

On cCapcom's website, the company announced that it started to identify those players with very high disconnection rates. They will be sanctioned in the "Streed Fighter 5" ranking system by having their League Points docked. Capcom said that 30 players were sanctioned so far.

A Capcom community manager declared that the company received many videos. Capcom used these videos and crossed reference them with its own data to get a clearer picture and find the players who are abusing the "Street Fighter 5" system.

The manager explained that Capcom is looking to target only the worst offenders in their system to create a game experience with just a few instances of disconnect during a match. They consider a "rage quitter" as a player who has a disconnect rate as high as 80 to 90 percent.

What do you think of the "rage-quitting" in "Street Fighter 5"? Is Capcom's punishment on "rage quitters" fair? Share your comments below!
