Your Kids Could Now Sue You For Posting Their Photos On Facebook!

A new bill in France allows kids to file charges against their parents should they post any pictures of them in social media. It doesn't matter what kind of picture, as long as they feel like their own parents violated their privacy, then this law applies to them.

In an article published by Pop Sugar, kids in France could now sue their parents should they see them uploading pictures of them on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and other social media sites. If their parents were found guilty of the said charges, they will serve a year in jail and would even have to pay up to $48,000 worth of fine.

According to Café Mom, this law originally serves as a protection for children against pornography and even "revenge selfies." But the government of France recently updated it, which makes it easier for children to sue their parents if they violated their privacy and has social media involved in it.

Some would think that this law is a bit extreme because parents are usually uploading pictures of their kids on sites like Facebook and Instagram. But apparently, their child could instantly file a lawsuit against them if they ever feel like their offended by them on any of their pictures uploaded. Some kids could even use it is a way to retaliate towards their Mom and Dad if ever the picture they posted kind of embarrassed them in public.

This law is not applicable in America, but if ever this is available in the country, lots of parents are assumed to serve time  at one point of their lives just because they posted a photo of their child on social media. But to parents in France who are itching to post pictures of their cute kids, it would be hard for them to do it without thinking twice now because it might be the reason they end up in jail one day.
