'NBA 2K16' News & Update: No Updates For Stephen Curry Character; New Badges Will Only Be Available for 'NBA 2K17'

It is no question that National Basketball League player Stephen Curry has been on fire ever since he came out playing the big league. He has been making waves during numerous of his games, setting records, breaking records and so on.

Just recently, Stephen Curry made headlines as he did a three point shot for his team with only a few seconds until the basketball game was going to end, breaking the tie scored they have with the other team. Everyone on social media was congratulating Stephen Curry.

That is in real life though, Stephen Curry is no question one of the best basketball player to come out. However, fans are quite disappointed at his video game counter part because, according to the fans of Stephen Curry, the game version of the basketball superstar does not do as well as the real life Stephen Curry, which the fans are not taking too lightly.

2K Sports, the developer of the game, has promised to change that. Also, they stated that it will try their best to capture the real life basketball abilities of Stephen Curry and incorporate that in the game, but there are some setbacks.

"Generally, taking deep shots, 30-35 feet, or shooting in traffic, or shooting off the dribble, we naturally penalize those things," said Mike Wang, gameplay director. "Everyone in the league more or less gets penalized in kind of the same way, as they take these bad shots."

"In terms of the framework, it was never really designed to handle exceptions. Even though Curry is rated a 99 in all three-point ratings, he's still getting hit, just like everybody does. That's where the system has to change a little bit to accommodate what he's doing this year," Wang continued. For the Stephen Curry hubbub, new badges need to be released for the game.

However, according to Wang, the new badges with all the updates of the players will be released on "NBA 2K17." Wang also revealed, on the other hand, that  they will still release some new badges for "NBA 2K16."
