Miley Cyrus ‘Happiest I've Ever been’ After Liam Hemsworth Breakup, Gets Kinky Twerk Doll from Ellen DeGeneres [VIDEO]

Miley Cyrus opened up about her break up with Liam Hemsworth, the controversy surrounding her MTV VMA performance and received a rather interesting gift from talk show host, Ellen DeGeneres.

Since her breakup with "Huger Games" actor Liam Hemsworth, the singer has been mum on the details surrounding the demise of their relationship which began in 2009 and resulted in an engagement in 2012. The Last Song costars announced the end of their engagement on Sept. 16, but the 20-year-old pop princess has managed to avoid questions about their split while promoting her fourth album, "Bangerz."

"So the last time you were here [in November 2012], I threw you an engagement party," host Ellen DeGeneres said in Friday's show. Cyrus replied, "Do you want your money back?"

"I want my money back," DeGeneres joked. "I sent you, like, [strippers]. You enjoyed it." Miley went on to say she has moved on from the break up and is doing fine. "I keep saying I'm the happiest I've ever been and that's not even a dig."

"I think people spend more time actually thinking about it than I really do. I just believe when a chapter is done you have to close it and start that new one. That's kind of where I am right now," she explained. "I felt like I have so much to be thankful for at this time that my energy hasn't really been focused on that."

The former "Hannah Montana" star said she feels grateful to the media that they have not spent hours pouring over their relationship breakup, but have instead focused on her music.

"I've been kind of impressed with people and how much they've actually shown more respect. I don't really look up anything, so maybe they haven't been showing respect, but from what I have seen, I felt like people have really focused on my music right now when I've needed them and have actually been really good about that. Because that's the only thing I worried about-I didn't want it to make me to sacrifice what I've been working for, for just the attention to be on that."
