HTC 10 Release Date & Specs: New Smartphone's Specs Leaks & Promises a High-End Performance; Will Arrive on April 19 [Rumors]

HTC is gearing for a new flagship. However, their big surprise is no longer a secret because the details of their upcoming smartphone leak online.

According to The Marshalltown, HTC's latest flagship is called HTC 10. However, the name of the model may change. Last week, Steve Hemmerstoffer ended the speculations and rumors surrounding HTC 10 as he shared several images of the phone's prototype.

Per the report, HTC 10 sports a 5.25-inch display with QHD (2,560×1,440 pixels) screen. It is also equipped with Snapdragon 820 processor, Adreno 530 graphics chip, 4GB of RAM and USB Type-C connector. For those who love to take photos, HTC 10 will also arrive with a 12-megapixel back camera.

SlashGear also posted photos of HTC 10 in four assorted colors including gold, silver, grey and white. They stressed that the upcoming smartphone will arrive with both BoomSound and Dolby branding on its integrated audio, which only means that the company continues to pursue their goal of making their phones among the greatest handset with the best sound.

According to Tech Times, many are anticipating for HTC to announce their follow-up smartphone after their last year's HTC One M9. Many believe that the company will be introducing HTC 10 soon.

It seemed that the assumption was correct because two weeks ago, HTC posted a teaser image of their next smartphone on their Twitter account. The photo featured chamfered edges with words "#powerof10". Other than that, nothing is visible.

Many are hoping that HTC 10 will be unveiled next month because the company will be hosting a press event in April. A Twitter user named Evan Blass predicted the exact date of HTC 10's launch date. "In case it wasn't obvious, I'd say that Tuesday, April 19th -- the date on the screen -- is nearly a lock for HTC 10 launch," he wrote.
