'Batman' Game Release Date, News & Update: Telltale to Discuss the Game Series at SXSW

Telltale is about to unveil its new "Batman" game that tells the mythology of Batman at the upcoming South by Southwest on March 18. The SXSW will be hosted by Greg Miller and is free for everyone who wants to join the event.

Telltale will take the attendees of SXSW at the well-hidden, mysterious life and mind of Bruce Wayne. Here, Telltale will reveal the two identities of Batman and how he manages to save a city drowning in corruption and wickedness, according to Batman News.

SXSW will be attended by TQ Jefferson, an executive producer. The panel of the event will be composed of Job Stauffer, the head of creative communication, Kevin Bruner, the studio's chief executive, and writer Pierre Shorette.

The first trailer of "Batman" was shown at The Game Awards in December 2015, which saw Bruce Wayne in a "black and white comic book world." However, it is not yet confirmed if the "Batman" game will have the same approach, Game Spot reported.

In spite of keeping things under wraps, Telltale series' CEO Kevin Bruner reveals that "Batman" is going to be fantastic. In a recent interview, he told Kotaku that "Batman" may be one of the best things that Telltale has ever done.

"I can't go into much detail, but the Batman team is amazing and they are really on top of it," Kevin Bruner said. He even boasted that the "Batman" they created is far different from any Batman game one can play.

"Batman" is not just a simple game that focuses on the "fighting" side of the caped crusader, but Kevin Bruner explained that they covered every aspect of Batman a player has to know. "There's a lot of subplots to explore and some really amazing choices that have a big impact on the story being told. I really think it might be the peak of the mountain for us so far," he added.

Meanwhile, fans have a reason to celebrate as they can watch Telltale's introduction of "Batman" at SXSW on March 19 live on stream via Twitch TV. Just save this link and click here.
