Glastonbury 2016 News & Update: Adele to Headline Worthy Farm Event?

Glastonbury Festival is fast approaching and there are emerging news that Adele might headline the Worthy Farm event. The music fair organizer, Emily Eavis, implied that Adele may grace the affair as she said that it would be "great" to perform there.

In a recent interview, Emily Eavis was asked if Adele would headline the Glastonbury Festival. She quickly responded with, "She would, wouldn't she? It would be great to get her."

Emily Eavis told i-D that Adele is an incredible artist, brilliantly honest, funny and a real person that's why everybody loves her. She also said that Adele can be a great example of what a woman can be as she never pretends.

Also, Emily Eavis described Adele as a kind of lady who is just simply honest and not scared to make fun of herself. Glastonbury Festival is set to be headlined by two giant British bands, Muse and Coldplay, according to Digital Spy.

The third act, however, might be filled in by Adele as it looks like there is an ongoing agreement that the "Hello" singer will try to squeeze Glastonbury Festival in her busy schedule. To recall, Adele is currently doing her world tour, "Adele Live 2016."

Adele, on the other hand, said that she has no interest in performing at Glastonbury Festival as she's scared to be onstage in front of a huge crowd. "I think I have made myself pretty clear on Glastonbury. The crowds are too big - I don't know if I could do it," Adele said per NME.

Adele revealed that she attended Glastonbury Festival last year but only as a "concert goer." Adele went to Worthy Farm to watch Kanye West's performance and said that she was overly exasperated when she saw how big the audience was.

Emily Eavis promised that the upcoming Glastonbury Festival 2016 will feature a lot of woman performers in its lineup. Glastonbury Festival will run from June 22 to June 26 at Pilton, U.K.
