Mariah Carey Is Doing A TV Show! What Is It About? All The Details Here!

Mariah Carey is adding "TV star" to her long list of accomplishments. The Grammy-winning hit maker is reportedly doing a reality TV show that will have cameras following her around while she's on her Las Vegas residency. The crew will also follow her during her tour in Europe beginning this spring.

Sources told Us Weekly that it was Carey's manager who got her the TV deal and while the docu-series still has no title, Carey is liking the idea of calling the show "Mariah's Squad" since it's about her and the people working with her.

"It's nuts. Mariah is very funny on camera," a source told the news outlet. "It'll definitely show another side to her."

CeleBuzz reports that during Elton John's Oscars Party for his AIDS foundation, the singer had her camera crew following her. "She kept checking to make sure her team got the shots they needed. She was the only guest with a personal crew!" said a witness.

Carey is no stranger to TV work though because she has done reality TV before. She had a brief judging stint on "American Idol" and she also had the crew of "MTV Cribs" in her New York apartment once. She let the production film her in the bathroom after working out at her private gym, Mirror reports.

Carey used to say that she's not the type of celebrity who can do a reality TV show. "I couldn't handle having people with cameras on me all the time. It's already like that, it's too much," the "Touch My Body" singer said, per The Wrap. But perhaps she has changed her tune about having a docu-series.

"Mariah's Squad" still has not air date and a network. It's also uncertain whether her twins, Morrocan Scott and Monroe, are also going to be featured in the series, as well as her billionaire Aussie boyfriend, James Packer.
